President – Milicent Reed, MBA, CSSGB
Milicent Reed is a dynamic professional with ability to rise as an organizational superstar in any environment. Specialize in building strong internal relationships with C-Level Executives and Management team, servicing all Talent Acquisition/HR needs. Past experience in Staffing, Advertising and Healthcare industries.
Vice President of Finance and Immediate Past President – Temika Kitchen, MSHR, BS, PHR, SHRM-CP
Temika Kitchen is a born and raised in Florida. She currently serves as the Human Resources Manager for a Government Department of Defense Contractor. Temika joined MSGI in 2006 and has over 10 years of hands-on HR Professional experience, developing people-based strategies that support business needs. Temika is a passionate HR leader dedicated to the pursuit of high performance and professional development. Temika is a member of the Society of Human Resources, HR Tampa, and the immediate Past President of NAAAHR-Tampa Bay. She is an active member in her church and sorority. Her personal motto is, Succeed Always in All Ways!
Vice President of Programs – Cilicia (C.C.) Prince, BS, PHR, SHRM-CP
Cilicia (C.C.) Prince is a seasoned HR Professional with over 9 years of experience in Human Resources. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and continued her education to earn a Human Resources Management certificate at the University of South Florida. Cilicia has obtained her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) designation and Society of Human Resources Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) designation. Cilicia is currently a Human Resources Generalist for Progressus Therapy a school based Therapy company. Between motherhood and community service, Cilicia keeps herself busy. Cilicia has served on the board of Tampa Bay Chapter of National Association of African Americans in Human Resources for as the Vice President of Membership for two years, the President for four years and currently serves as the Immediate Past President. Cilicia also serves as the Volunteer Coordinator for the Tampa Bay Black Heritage Festival and Vice President of Bethany’s Group, an organization that helps families overcome abuse.
Vice President of Communications – Kenya Boatright, MBA, BA
Kenya Boatright is a seasoned Human Resource, Benefits, and Payroll Specialist. Garnered over eight years of experience in the fields of client services, marketing, operational support, and education to include various positions in two counties within Georgia. She is focused on new hire processing, payroll processes, benefits administration, and employment law. Kenya supports the vision and mission of Corban: Commitment to make our clients raving fans, Ownership of any issue until its resolved, Reliability on being there for clients and colleagues, Best Practices in that we are an extension of our client’s organization and have been selected because of our expertise, Attitude is everything, and Necessary to embrace a “whatever it takes” approach. Together, she can help our clients to advance and achieve the goals they have set forth.
Kenya earned her Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources from the Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University and her Bachelor of Arts, Political Science from Armstrong Atlantic State University.
Vice President of Sponsorship and Partnerships – Derek Porter, MBA
Derek Porter is an United States Air Force Veteran HR professional that’s persistent, and determine to succeed. He is intense and diligent at recruiting/acquiring top level talent, researching employment laws to protect employers, updating policy and procedures for compliance, and using deductive reasoning to investigate, document, and report employee related issues. Derek is driven, consistent, supportive, and productive. He has helped HR Departments develop by reducing costs from bad policies or practices; while adding to a company’s sustainability, integrity, core values, and short to long reaching goals.
Derek has worked with selected contract professional for high risk private or government funded projects, and programs. Supported company initiatives that seek to grow books of business with high demands, complex deliverables, key benchmarks, and short deadlines. He has successfully managed rapidly changing workplaces, human capital needs, variable technologies, and compliances within the For Profit or Not-for-profit space. Under strong positive leadership he excels, meet goals, lead teams and people to success.
Vice President of Administration, Joyce Baker, MS HRM, PHR, SHRM-CP
Joyce Baker works for Citi as an HR Generalist 4 as partner with Global Consumer Banking. She has more than 20 years of HR experience in the learning, organizational development, and employee relations arenas. During her career, Joyce has worked in the telecommunications industry with companies including Nokia, PCS Wireless, and T-Mobile. Joyce also has extensive experience in financial services; having spent eight years at Capital One as a Corporate Trainer.
Joyce has a Bachelors Degree from the University of Phoenix and a Masters Degree in Human Resources from Nova Southeastern University. Additionally, she has received her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) Certification and SHRM-CP certification.
